Shey Palace Leh
Shey Palace Leh is located 15 km to the south of Leh.It was founded in 17th century by the King Deldon Namgyal. A large number of monasteries, stupas and rock carvings can be seen on this road.One can easily reached Shey Palace Leh by trekking 4 km from Thickey Monastery and the path is recognized for having Ladakh's biggest chorten fields with hundreds of whitewashed shrines of varying sizes scattered across the desert landscape. Shey Palace Leh nearest airport is at Leh.The essential thing is that no persons can enter in this monastery without having special permission. Lama lives in this monastery and the inner workrooms are usually closed.There is a hotel for visitors which are surrounded by gardens opposite to the Shey Palace Leh.

Leh Palace
Leh Palace overlooks the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh, modelled on the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. The Leh Palace was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 17th century, but was later discarded when Dogra forces took control of Ladakh in the mid-19th century. The royal family moved to Stok Palace. Leh Palace is nine storeys high; the royal family stayed on the upper floors, the stables and store rooms were in the lower floors. The palace, a ruin, is currently being restored by the Archaeological Survey of India. The palace is open to the public and one can get panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding areas from the roof. The mountain of Stok Kangri in the Zangskar mountain range is visible across the Indus valley to the south, with the Ladakh mountain range rising behind the palace to the north.
Hemis Monastery Leh
Hemis Monastery Leh is one of the biggest and wealthiest monatries in ladakh. Presently,Hemis monastery leh is run by Drukpa sect of Buddhism, which once flourished during the Namgyal dynasty.
Hemis Monastery Leh is located approximately at a distance of 47 km from Leh.It belongs to Dugpa order and was founded in year of 1630 by the First incarnation of Stagsang Raspa Nawang Gyatso. Hemis Monastery existed before the 11th century.
Sindhu Ghat Leh
Sindhu Ghat Leh is located at 10 km up stream the Indus River from Leh next to the Shey , it is a serene river bank. The Sindhu ( Indus ) river originates near Mansarover lake and Mt. Kailash in Tibet enters in to India and flows through the Leh Valley and the enters into Pakistan , Sindhu is Sanskrit word and its translation is " Large water Body" . The significance of this river to us is it has given our country the name India and people living here are called the Hindu which is the distorted name of Sindhu in the Arab world. It is one of the seven most sacred rivers in India.
Stok Palace Museum Leh
