Sindhu Darshan Festival Ladakh is one of the flamboyant and attractive festivals in North India. The Sindhu Darshan Utsav celebrated for 3 days in the month of June. The huge Sindhu (Indus) river symbolizes the supremacy and durability of the ancient Indian civilization which changed over a period of thousands of years. The archaeological finding of the Indus Valley civilization which is thrived along its banks has reinforced the antiquity of the Indian civilization. Sindhu Darshan Utsav originates from the Mansarovar in Tibet and it consists of blessed dip into the holy river. After that all people wear colorful costumes and pay tribute to the Mighty River for her blessings.
