Day 1 : Leh -Likir – Yangthang (4 -5 Hours)
Morning after breakfast drive to Likir village (58 kms) from Leh towards Srinagar, visit the 15th century Likir Monastery founded by Lama LACHEN GYALPO. The Monastery is located on the top of a hill facing the valley has agricultural fields it has the distinction of being the wealthiest Monastery too. Precious statues made in gold, silver and copper, besides numerous rare Thangkas, Murals and Art works form the wealth of the Monastery. Later you will drive to the starting point of trekking where you will meet your trekking team. Trek crosses the Phobe La (3500m) Sumdo village.From here walk steadily upwards to cross the Chagatse La pass (3620 m), descend to village Yangthang (3625m). Stay overnight in Camp at Yangthang.
Day 2 : Yangthang – Hemis Shukpachen (3 Hrs)
This is an easy leading leads northwards, enroute crossing a stream and pass to cross for a Tsermangchen la pass. Then Walk down from the pass to Hemis Shukpachan, The named after the grove of cedars found here (rather unusual for Ladakh). Stay overnight in Camp at Shukpachen.
Day 3 : Hemis Shukpachen - Mebtak La (3750m) - Ang (3 Hours)
Today's trek is fairly easy to begin with. The trail goes upward between two hillocks west of the village upwards until it veers south and climbs steeply up to the Mebtak La (3750m) marked by prayer flags. From the pass we head down the gorge to Ang, a charming village with apricot orchards. Stay overnight in Camp at Ang.
Day 4 : Hemis shukpa chan to Temisgam and Nurla - Leh
Today is the last day and very easy as its downhill all the way onto the main road to Temisgam, one of the historical village. From here you will drive to Leh. Thereafter, take a detour across the Indus to visit the 11th Century Alchi Monastery the oldest surviving monastic complex of Ladakh and famous for its ancient frescoes and architecture - a UNESCO listed heritage site. Tour ends with sweet memories of Sham Trek of Ladakh...
