Leh
During previous years Leh were the capital of the Himalaya Kingdom of Ladakh and now it is Leh district in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It covers an area of 45,110 km and it is the second largest district in India. Leh is at elevation of 3500m from the ground level.Leh is the home of Lamas which are Buddhist Monks and is mainly populated by Buddhists and Hindus. Leh is one of the best trade centre in Central Asia, with many trading opportunities for the annoyed and devoted traders. Shopping is an experience in Leh. People can mark many traders in this city selling their jewellery, woolen clothes and items and home -decorated items, wall paintings and floor carpets.
Nubra Valley
Nubra valley is a tri-armed valley positioned to the north east of Ladakh valley and one of the most visiting places around alchi. Diskit the capital of Nubra is concerning 150 km north from Leh town, which is the capital of Ladakh district, India. The Shyok River meets the Nubra to form a large valley which separates the Ladakh and Karakoram Ranges. The Shyok river is the branch of the Indus river. The standard height of the valley is about 10,000 ft. i.e. 3048 metres above the sea level. The common way to access this valley is to travel over the Khardung La pass from Leh town.
Tsomoriri Lake Ladakh
Tsomoriri Lake Ladakh is located in the Changthang area of Jammu and Kashmir. Tsomoriri Lake Ladakh is at a height of 4,5956 meter and it is the most significant of the high altitude lakes in the Trans-Himalayan biogeographic region, India. The lake lies in between Ladakh, India to the North, Tibet to the east, and Zanskar in the west. The water comes inside the Lake from the north and southwest. Jammu
Jammu borders Ladakh to the east, and is one of the three administrative divisions within the state of Jammu and Kashmir. There are number of places to visit in Jammu such as the Purmandal, Vaishno Devi Shrine, Nandini wildlife sanctuary, Mansar Lake, Bahu Fort, Raghunath Temple etc. Jammu's beautiful natural landscape has made it one of the most preferential destinations for adventure tourism in South Asia.
Kargil
Kargil is a town, which serves as the headquarters of Kargil district of Ladakh in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is the second largest town in Ladakh after Leh. Some of the major attractions in Kargil include the Sani monastery, Mulbekh monastery, monastery of Rangdum, Zongkhul Monastery and Stonday Monastery. Other attractions such as the Phugthal Monastery, Karsha Monastery and Shargole Monastery at Padum in the vicinity of the destination can also be visited.
Pangong lake
Pangong Lake also referred to as Pangong Tso, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas. It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to Tibet. 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. All together it covers 604 km2. A section of the lake approximately 20 km east from the Line of Actual Control is controlled by China but claimed by India. The eastern end of the lake is in Tibet and is not claimed by India. The western end of the lake is not in dispute. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.
