Though there are no direct Jammu to Leh bus services available right now. In future they might have buses from Jammu to leh directly and also there are no direct buses from Delhi to Leh bus service. The Himachal Road Transport Corporation manages buses connecting Delhi to Leh bus via Manali Road, daily Leh bus service linking Manali to Leh bus. It is likely to book tickets from Delhi to Leh bus, and break down the travel via Manali and at the lower end of Lahaul : Sissu , Keylong is main population centre or Jispa - all approximately 3100 altitude. The Manali Privates Bus Union also functions daily direct bus services connecting Manali and Leh bus service, it takes two days to get to Leh after a night stop at Darcha or Sarchu. A good advice will be not to take direct bus from Manali to Leh bus since it takes more than 24 hours or two days to reach Leh as it totally intensify the altitude sickness that will make you feel very sick and strange. And if you book your ticket late you might end up sitting on a wooden bench as an alternative instead of a comfortable and easy seats, without seatbelts, that will habitually bang your head to the bus for the entire journey. Sleeping in the bus is unfeasible and by the end of the voyage you will loss your interest in the striking and beautiful Leh , Ladakh expedition instead you will be dead tired suffering from high altitude sickness, severe headache probably vomiting. Though the views of this drive is mesmerizing and enthralling. So please break your journey and halt at every possible destinations.
