Dosmoche Leh
The competition of Dosmoche is among the number of prevalent Leh Ladakh festivals in India and is well known to mark the triumph over evil forces. The festival falls each year at the end finish of the Tibetan New 12 months and is perceived for two days. Monks from different monasteries accumulate at the yards of the palace to perform "Chams". Dosmoche Leh is celebrated with great passion in Leh and is also known as annual prayer festival. The festival is celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal. The main object of offering the evil spirits is the hungry ghosts and demonic forces at the time of reading of arranged chants by Lamas. The Dosmoche festival ends up with cheers and whistles and it celebrates the dispersion of evil forces from Leh. Spituk, Stok, Matho and Chemrey all have festivals in winter, that fall in generally between November and March.
